Three decades of delivering digital products, building lasting client partnerships, and staying at the edge of what technology can do, with a firm belief that the best work is still ahead.
I'm Shayne Yestal, a project manager, studio founder, and technologist with over three decades in the field. My career spans senior PM and leadership roles at a leading financial corporation, managing enterprise-scale technology initiatives, compliance programs, and infrastructure modernization, alongside building and running a boutique design studio with my wife Kim.
On the corporate side, I've led cross-functional teams through complex, high-stakes delivery for a leading financial institution: the kind of programs where scope is broad, timelines are tight, and the margin for error is zero. That discipline is the backbone of everything I do.
In 1996, Kim and I co-founded Mocoda, a boutique web and app design studio. For nearly thirty years, we've built long-term partnerships with clients across industries, delivering the kind of work that earns you a call when the next big project starts.
Today, I'm channeling all of that experience into ThirtyYearPM, bringing practical AI tools and real-world training to the project management community.

Thirty Years With Kim, and the Fight We Didn't See Coming
Kim and I built Mocoda together over thirty years. This spring, a Stage 4 diagnosis turned our life over. This is about her, about us, and about why the Huntsville cancer clinic that treats her has to stay where it is.
Everyone Is Talking About Loops. Almost Nobody Means the Same Thing.
Agentic loop is the phrase of the year, and most people using it could not tell you which kind they mean. The distinction is not academic. It is the difference between a demo and a product, and I can show you in three things we actually shipped.
We Built Our Own AI Tool: What Shipping It Taught Me
We got tired of renting our content workflow from a dozen disconnected subscriptions, so at Mocoda we built our own AI tool. Here's what shipping it taught me about scope, honesty, and the distance between the plan and the product.
